French Style Wedding

French Style Wedding in the Old Library at Dulwich College. I remember the day I received a call from the bride. I was on my way to meet friends for a drink. “I’m getting married in two weeks and I want you to photograph my wedding” she demanded in her French accent. I replied that I was already booked and couldn’t fit two weddings in that day. I suggested perhaps she move the ceremony back an hour. The next wedding was also in Dulwich. An hour later the bride called back to say she’d moved the wedding back an hour! I had previously worked with the bride and groom so they knew my style well. Coincidentally I did a shoot at their home which is often used for location shoots before they moved in. A year after this wedding I also photographed her sisters family home in Chelsea.

French Style Wedding Dulwich

This wedding was so laid back. The couple had been together for several years and had three young children and had just never got around to it. It was a very relaxed and simple ceremony in the Old Library at Dulwich College. Unavoidably the main college building was undergoing a major renovation. It didn’t spoil things. Nor did the fact that it was a very windy summers day. The couple looked amazing and very chic. I loved the fact there were loads of children playing around is of on a beach in St Tropez! After the ceremony we headed back to their home in Dulwich Village for the reception. The chilled out theme continued as kids playing in the garden or competed at table football. Meanwhile guest drank Champagne whilst food was prepared on the BBQ. I wish I could’ve stayed longer but another wedding beckoned in Forest Hill!
