A little bit of rain during a Horniman conservatory wedding was never going to dampen the spirits of this fun loving couple. Clare and Nick were out to enjoy themselves and savour every second from start to finish. What’s more, so were all their guests! Everything they’d prepared for ensured the day was going to be an outstanding success. The day began with brides preparations at Clare’s parents home a few miles down the road in Beckenham. Clare showed no pre-wedding nerves as the hairdresser and make-up artist performed their magic. Rain kept threatening but ultimately it wasn’t going to really matter since this was going to be a day for all of them to remember. Clare and Nick are a gregarious couple who enjoy travel adventures all over the world. Nick is a keen cyclist and petrol head and Clare enjoys experimenting with food and photography.
Horniman conservatory wedding continued.
On the day they’re surrounded by friends and family that love them to bits! Clare and Nick put a lot of care and thought into their wedding day including one particularly lovely little touch. A red ribbon signposted woodland walk from the Civil Ceremony at the Horniman Conservatory through the ancient Sydenham Woods and onto their marvellous reception at the Dulwich Golf Club. A Horniman Conservatory wedding is always going to be extra special. It’s a beautiful setting on top of Forest Hill in the most elegant Victorian Conservatory. The Dulwich and Sydenham Golf Club is another excellent venue. It has incredible views over London and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. One of the many evenings highlights was their cheekily choreographed first dance to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers ‘Islands in the Stream’. I haven’t laughed so much at a wedding in ages!
